As I’m typing this, I’m doing my nails for the first time in 2020- and 2021.
I’m also doing it myself for the first time…I might insert pictures. (edit; they look horrible- I definitely cannot insert pictures)
I just thought it follows that I write a year in view if I intend to write a review at the end of the year.
This isn’t a list of resolutions.

2020 was a great year, and I’m not going to say the cliche “I learnt a lot”, because, I honestly only learnt a few things.
But the few things are enough.
I’m very content with how 2020 panned out (I mean except for those owing me money)
In my Year in Review, I talked about a few things I’d inculcate in 2021.
They include; reading more, writing, and teaching.
I might not have used these exact words, but er…the picture remains the same.

READING
In this year, I intend to read a lot. Goes without saying if I want to graduate from uni.
But beyond academic material, I am reading for the knowledge, to improve my vocabulary, the opportunity to explore several authors’ writing styles, also because I want to write more this year.
In fact, my aim is to put out content; could be an article, a story, an essay- as long as I write it. Every fortnight, so I can achieve my goal of finessing my writing.

WRITING
Er…I think I already touched this briefly, above.
I have all these thoughts, opinions, ideologies circling in my mind. I haven’t been able to write them yet because I know words will fail me.
I stopped reading, so I no longer have the depth to articulately express myself in writing.
I am a very articulate speaker- I also intend to get better at this, in 2021. But, not quite an articulate writer.

TEACHING
I want to teach in 2021.
Because- I don’t know; I just want to.
Teach, and serve people with knowledge.
What do I want to teach? For now, the only thing I am certain of is that I want to consistently (if you read my year in review, you’d get this) teach people about Jesus.
Maybe teach some people about how to write a good CV (I’m still very uncertain about this), but just teach teach teach.
It’ll bring me the utmost joy!

ROUTINES
In 2019, I read a very interesting book about morning routines.
In 2020, I found out how important routines are. I love routines, I’ve just not been able to keep them this year. Partly because I’ve been living with Nigerian parents for the past 9 months, partly because I’ve just been fed up (segue; if I had been reading more, I’d know a more appropriate word for fed up. You see why reading is so important).
I love, and enjoy having routines. I intend to build, and keep them in 2021.

RANDOMS
I want to leave my house often in 2021. (This might be God’s direct word to you; to take me out. I’ll most likely say no if we’re not chummies, but still try to ask me).
Start random conversations with strangers, and actually get to know them(But this is Nigeria- we are all wary of something)
I want to travel (*Sigh*. This is like the wildest of them all. I had a savings plan for this already. But, I had to channel the funds to something else)
I want to do life-changing work. (Get an actual job that involves life changing work)

I am so excited for this year.
This is a year I have prayed, and prophesied into.
This is a year of overflow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.
This is your best year yet- that’s a prophecy.
